Cub Academy
Cub Academy is an ongoing organization that provides child care in Orlando, Florida, as well as in the communities of Lee Vista and Lake Nona. This mid-sized daycare facility serves children from 12 months old to five years old. Our services are safe and secure, providing a high quality of education to children in a custom facility. Cub Academy is a full-service early learning facility that cares for children one through five years old.
Through the years of being in the business, Cub Academy offers a top-quality bilingual curriculum that’s coupled with a custom-designed facility and a low teacher: student ratio, ensuring a top-shelf service for children and parents.
Cub Academy is a privately held corporation run by its founders Madeline Santelises and Yaritza Marrero. Our current facility is licensed for 58 children. With the inflation continuing to rise each year, the typical family now requires dual or supplemental income creating a necessity for quality child care services, leading us to anticipate expanding marking potential for this industry in our local area.

Madeline Santelises
Hello, my name is Madeline Santelises, and I am a co-owner at Cub Academy. I have been in the child care business for 6 years.
I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and migrated to Orlando Florida in 2004. I have been married to Jose Santelises for 10 years and together we have a furry baby called Alli Roxy. My educational background is in Civil Engineering with a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management. My experience and education have helped me manage the business side of our Preschool. After being laid off in 2008, I took a break to think of what was going to be my next chapter. After a lot of applications, interviews and prayers looking for an engineering job, I decided that instead of building roads and bridges, I was going to help build children. In 2012 Cub Academy opened! After 6 years in business, I have learned to manage and run a successful daycare business.
I have built a high-quality program where children can learn while having fun in a safe and healthy environment. We introduced STEAM to our curriculum and this school year our VPK Enrichment Program is using Nemours Brightstart, making sure our children are ready to enter Kindergarten.
As well, I have had the opportunity to mentor other child care businesses in the Orlando area, giving me the opportunity to teach and share my experiences with others in my same field while I grow with them.
I believe every kid deserves to have a safe educational environment to learn and grow in. We strive every day to provide a lasting education in each child that comes through our center. I am excited to be part of each child’s life as they develop physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Yaritza Marrero
Hello, my name is Yaritza Marrero. I’m a mom of two amazing children. I was born in Puerto Rico and moved to Central Florida back in 1996. Worked as a Pharmacy Technician for 13 years. After graduating from college in 2009 with a Bachelor’s degree in Arts of Education started my career in a child care industry. Its been eight wonderful years working as a Director six of them at Cub Academy.
I am beyond blessed with the opportunity to be part of so many children’s lives and am honored to share my passion for education with them all!
